| The
main objective of the Diaspora Alliance
is to create a political climate through
which the United States government can initiate
a process leading to an equitable peace.
To create such an environment both in this
country and in the region, the group advocates
four basic principles that it believes need
to be implemented in order for a lasting
peace to endure.
1.
A practical negotiating framework accounting
for the basic human rights and dignity of
both peoples and representative of the aspirations
of the majority of both peoples, through
which a settlement can arise.
2.
Immediate United States involvement and
full use of all means of influence, including
diplomacy or economic resources.
3.
Introduction of an international peacekeeping
force (IPKF), composed of forces from the
Quartet, with Israeli and Palestinian participation,
to stabilize the area and to achieve a hospitable
negotiating environment.
4.
Conflict management structure in the nature
of meaningful mediation/arbitration, with
a negotiating process to include impartial
international expert panels to resolve working
through issues where the parties cannot
achieve bilateral agreement, in order to
guarantee conclusive results in reaching
a peace agreement.
